Easy Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

Last night, I wanted to make biscuits to go with supper, but we did not have any milk. I know I could have sent Bryan, but he had literally just gotten back from getting the mushrooms that I had forgotten. So I started looking for any alternative. I couldn’t find anything, BUT I had the sour cream we were going to use on our potatoes. Hmmmm….could it work? They are both dairy, right? I decided to try it and they surprisingly turned out delicious. You should definitely try these for yourself.

Easy and Delicious Garlic Cheddar Drop Biscuits

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c fine shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 c self rising flour
  • 1/2 c sour cream
  • 1 tsp. parsley


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Grease Baking Pan
  3. Mix the Flour, Garlic, Salt, and Parsley and whisk together
  4. Mix the butter and flour mixture
  5. Add the sour cream and mix well
  6. Add the cheese and stir until just mixed
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto your greased pan.
  8. Bake for 14-16 minutes or until golden.
