On a recent trip to Walmart, Davyn and I stopped in the fabric section because who isn’t enamored by looking at fabric everywhere they go? There are so many options and every store has different patterns. Since we were in a hurry and I had just bought a bunch of fabric, I let her pick a few prints out for some quick skirts. She immediately saw this ladybug fabric and had to have it. I won’t lie, I didn’t LOVE it. I actually tried to get her to go with another bumblebee pattern, but she insisted on ladybugs. I love lady bugs, but I just didn’t see the potential of this fabric. We bought it anyway.
I made her ladybug skirt a few days ago, but avoided letting her wear it right away because we needed the perfect shirt. After a few chats and her supervision of her lady bug shirt design, we had the perfect shirt and it brought that ladybug skirt to life.
I put “Cute as a bug” in Silver Siser holographic heat transfer from Expressions Vinyl and a “ladybug” on each side in smooth black heat transfer vinyl. One has a heart and the other has 3 ladybug dots. Check out my sweet ladybug girl.
